I guess most major cities have farmer's markets on the weekends. I strongly recommend taking advantage of them because if you are city mouse like me with a penchant for things "fraiche" and "au naturel" and a little bit of countryside nostalgia. People from the farms always seem so dang cheerful. Also, the farmers' market is a great way to introduce your household to new foodstuff that will delight your palette. On Sunday, I had pluots for the first time. Much like plums but juicier.
